The 2nd International School Head Teachers' Conference

The 2nd International School Head Teachers’ Conference, namely, the Conference on Class Innovative Management was held at Lushan Xihai from November 19th to 21st, 2010. Prof. Wang Jinhua, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of JUFE, Prof. Jiang Jingfa, the Vice President of JUFE, International School faculty, and the leaders of some other schools attended the conference.

Prof. Wang Jinhua pointed out that the head teacher played an indispensable role in the cultivation of students’ personality and ability. It required not only the advanced educational ideas but also responsibility and dedication to be a qualified head teacher. Prof. Jiang Jingfa believed that a head teacher is the soul of a class, he or she was doing a supreme job. As the founder as well as the first dean of International School, Prof. Jiang Jingfa emphasized that the head teachers of International School should combine their job with the features of International School.

Mr. Liao Yuanxin, a student counselor from Nanchang University who had won “Personality of the Year 2009 being University Counselors” introduced his experience about the objectives and values of being a student counselor. Han Guoyu, an outstanding counselor from JUFE also made a sppech in which he summarized from his experiences that skills and attitudes are equally essential to the job.

In the group discussion part, head teachers had canvassed several issues like the prevention of addiction to computer games and how to help the impoverished student.

We learned that the head teachers in the International School made good preparations for the conference.They wrote articles entitled “I love my class”and compiled a book named “I love my class--Impressives Moments of Head Teachers (first edition,2010)”.
